Please accept our deepest condolences for your family’s loss.
Norma, I want to let you know Brenda and I are keeping you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. Even though our life paths didn’t cross too many times, it was always nice to see you and to recall a few memories about Mound City. I told Mom (Doris Henesey) about your loss and she was sorry to hear it. Mom is 92 now and about one of the oldest people in MC. Chris, You would have to think back to early, early school days to remember me and how we used to jump the fence behind your house and play along the creek bank. I’m not sure but I think the last time we saw one another was when you and your band came to Eastern Kansas and played a dance in the mid-60’s. Last time I saw your dad was when he was still running the Pharmacy in Augusta. I was working for Scott Paper Co at the time. I will be keeping you in my prayers as you and your family work through this loss.
Dear Miriam, I just learned of your father’s death this afternoon(2/1). My deepest sympathy to you and to your family, especially your dear mother. Please accept my sincerest condolences and be assured of my prayers for you/family during the days and months ahead. It is hard to lose a parent but do know that God is providing you with comfort and solace at this difficult and sad time. Blessings, Sister Rose Therese Bahr, asc
Dear Norma, Chris, Miriam, and Joe – Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers as you go through this next journey of learning to live without John in your daily lives. I know that when he stands before God, he will hear those words ‘Well done good and faithful servant,’ because he did such a great job of loving and caring for his family, and raising four wonderful kids. What a great example he was to all of on the periphery of your lives. We have all been blessed to call him (and you) friend.
Norma, Miriam, Joe and Chris and the rest of the family — John has always been such a blessing to me and Sara. The last time I talked to him he asked about his ‘birthday boy’ — Cohen was born on John’s birthday 3 years ago and we will always ‘celebrate’ for John on that day. Miriam, I so admired John and his faith and family values. I will miss him. Fathers are special and I know you have many fond memories. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
