R. Hamilton Jr. Ralph

Hamilton, Ralph R. Jr., 80, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2011. Rosary at 5:00 PM. Sunday, September 18, 2011 and Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM, Monday, September 19, 2011, both at Church of the Magdalen, Wichita, Kansas. He was born on October 2, 1930, to Ralph Sr. and Hazel Hamilton in Seminole, OK. Following his fathers death in 1942, he and his mother moved to Wichita, KS. He was elected President of his senior class at Wichita East High School and served in the U.S. Naval Air Force during the Korean War. Ralph was a past board member of the Petroleum Club of Wichita, and he was a member of the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) and the Kansas Independent Oil and Gas Association (KIOGA). At the time of his death, he was President of Duke Drilling Co., Inc. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ann; children, David (Rhonda) Hamilton of Wichita, Lori (Gene) West of Andover, and John Hamilton of Wichita; grandchildren, Jason (Nicole) West of Wichita, Lisa (Skyler) Johnson of Andover, and Zachary and Joshua Hamilton of Iowa; great-grandchildren, Raegen and Caleb West of Wichita. Memorials have been established with the Lords Diner, 520 N. Broadway, Wichita, KS 67214 and Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202. Downing Lahey East.
