Blue, Ralph Earl Sr., 81, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, departed this life to be with the Lord on Monday, February 25, 2008. Born June 22, 1926 in Isabel, KS. Ralph was retired from Boeing Aircraft, an owner/operator of the Dairy Queen on South Seneca, and the restaurant equipment business. Visitation with the family starting at 5:00 P.M. and a Rosary following at 7:00 P.M., both Wednesday, February 27, at Downing Lahey Mortuary West. Service, 10:30 A.M., Thursday, February 28, St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Preceded in death by son-in-law, John D. Beck. Survivors: wife, Mary Anne; children, Yvonne Beck, Stephen (Donna) Blue, Pamela (Stephen) West, Ralph (Shelia) Blue, Jr., Kenneth (Terri) Blue, John Blue, all of Wichita; brothers, Charles Blue of Mulvane, Robert Blue of Wichita; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren. Memorials to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School, 861 N. Socora, Wichita, KS 67212. Visitation with the family, starting at 5:00 P.M. with a Rosary following at 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 27, both at Downing Lahey Mortuary West

  1. Grandma Blue & Family, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. You all have been through so much this month. We just wanted you to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers and may the Holy Spirit comfort you through this difficult time.   2. Ralph was a fantastic person and a great neighbor. When I was working out in the yard he would quite often drive over on his tractor for some friendly conversation….and I will miss that terribly. I counted him as a good friend and I know that my dad did as well. If the family needs anything just let me know.
