Randal "Randy" Heath Tart

July 10, 1936 ~ January 25, 2025
Randal "Randy" Heath Tart, 88, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2025. Born in Cerro Gordo, North Carolina on July 10, 1936, at the age of eighteen, he joined the Air Force. His military career included three deployments to Korea, Greece, and then Thailand during the Vietnam War. On June 21, 1958, Randy married Marilyn Rose Morris in Wichita, Kansas. They were blessed with two children, Calvin Tart of Wichita, Kansas, and Janice Horne of Twin Falls, Idaho.
After twenty years of service, he retired from the United States Air Force reaching the rank of Tech Sergeant and later worked at the Coleman Company, where he retired as a Security Supervisor after another twenty years. Throughout his life, he was an active member of the Antioch Christian Church, serving for many years as faithful Elder.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary. The funeral service will be at 10:30 am, Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Antioch Christian Church, 3741 W. 15th St. N., Wichita, KS 67203.
Randy was preceded in death by his father, Chapman Tart, and mother, Edna Sliter. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Tart; son, Calvin Tart, both of Wichita; daughter, Janice (Derrick) Horne of Twin Falls, Idaho; grandchildren, Alex (Anna) Horne, Rebecca Horne; and great-grandchildren, Autumn, Ayden, and Asher Horne.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with: Antioch Christian Church, 3741 W. 15th St. N., Wichita, KS 67203.
There is no one in this world like Randy. He was a special person.

We will treasure the memories of having lunch together on Wednesdays with Marilyn’s Planeview friends that first formed during WWII years! May eternal joy be Randy’s! May Marilyn and family find peace in God’s love.
