Randal Weidner

Randy, loving father and grandfather, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at the age of 66. An industrious ironworker of 47 years, he constructed countless buildings throughout the city and surrounding region. Randy’s passion was caring for his family-which to him extended to friends, colleagues, neighbors and anyone he could share a smile and a laugh with. His heart and soul were devoted to the betterment of his children. Recently retired, Randy enjoyed spending time with his two adoring grandsons, Lucca and Sonny, watching sports and riding his motorcycle. Randy is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Joyce, and his sister Sandra. He is survived by his two children, Elyse and Joshua, son-in-law Todd, two grandsons, twin brother Ray, and eight brothers and sisters. He will be so deeply missed. Funeral Service will be at 3:00 pm, Friday, March 5, 2021 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Randy's name with: Children's Mercy, 2401 Gillham Rd., Kansas City, MO 64108. Services in care of Downing & Lahey East Mortuary.
