Please accept our deepest condolences for your family’s loss.
Dear Pierce Family: Sorry to learn of Randall’s death. I called on him at the store in the 70’s and 80’s when I was with Procter and Gamble. He was a very nce man. God Bless
I did not know my uncle Randall that much I wish I had got to know him better while he was still here. My family and my Mother Maxine would like to send our love and prayers to the family, I’m sorry we didn’t get to come to the funeral but I was sick. Our love and prayers go out to Billy and all the family. We will miss him so much and may God bless and keep Randall’s family always. He is in heaven with God now. Mr. Pierce, I did not know him as well as I would have like too. He was a friend of my dad’s, Raymond Waymire. I guess the first time I saw them together was at Mt. Veron & Hyd. store. They always greeted each other like long lost friends and stood and talk, what seem for a kid like forever. As I grow and had a family of my own, he would always greet me when I came to the store. But the thing that really made him special to me was one Sat. when my wife and I were shopping at P&M. I was checking out and found I had forgot my wallet. The store was very busy and when I told the clerk what had happen, he just told me to go get my wallet and start over and than he called for a restock. Mr. Pierce happen to see me standing there and came over to say hi. The clerk told him that I didn’t have any money. Without me saying a word, he told the clerk to check me out and he took the ticket and told me that whenever I had the time to come and take care of it. I knew this was because of the good type of person that he was and the friendship with my dad. I have always felt bless by knowing Mr. Pierce and at this time I wish peace and comfort for you, his family. God bless you.
Michelle, I remember your grandfather’s grocery store very well, was only 2 blocks from my home. I shopped there regularly, and remember the fresh meat case in particular. He sold the very best pastrami I have ever been able to buy to date. He was always so pleasant in dealing with his customers. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Aunt Rhea
Billy: Randall was a very special person. He loved you very much. He would tell us about your secret date/lunch he was taking you on and we thought that was so special. You both will always be very special to us, and we will miss him. Miles Westwind HOA (Wind Rows) is going to send a check to the Randall & Billy Pierce Scholarship Fund at Newman University. We all appreciate you and Randall’s time and service to Miles Westwind HOA. Thank You!
I have always valued the time I worked at Pierces Thriftway, for Mr. and Mrs. Pierce. I was in high school and college at the time, but it taught me many things not only about business but also about honesty, integrity and friendship. Mr. Pierce was a wonderful friend to my father and it meant so much for him to attend his funeral in 2001. Men of his stature are very special and will be missed by all. I attended the services this morning and the reflections and remarks of Reverend Richard Cleary we a wonderful tribute. With deepest respect and sympathy, Randall D Hall
