Randy Joseph Pfeifer, 57, of Wichita (formerly of Manhattan), died Monday, January 29, 2024 at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita. He was born August 6, 1966 in Wakeeney, KS to Walter J. and Helen M. (Weber) Pfeifer. Randy graduated from Ellis High School in 1985. He was united in marriage to Gina Lorch and the couple had one son, Kyle. He is survived by his wife, Gina; son, Kyle, Kenrick-Glennon Seminary, St. Louis, MO; stepson, Brandon, Vevay, IN; sisters, Donna Shepard of Chapman; JoAnn (Mark) Crist of McPherson; Marlene (Kevin) Herrman of Abilene; Jeanette (Pat) Dreiling of Wichita; brothers, Glen (Penny) of Oakley; Daryl (Judy) of Anthony; Kevin (Tracy) of Wichita, brother-in-law, Charles (Kari) Lorsch of Eagan, MN; sister-in-law, Julie Pfeifer; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Leon; sister, Cheryl, brother-in-law Greg Shepard; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Ruth Ann Lorch. Vigil Service will be at 6:00 pm, Friday, February 2, 2024; Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, February 3, 2024, both at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1321 N. Stratford Ln, Wichita. Burial will follow at Ascension Cemetery, 7200 E. 45th St. N., Bel Aire, KS.Memorials may be made to Conception Seminary College, P.O. I have many memories of riding the bus to & from school with Randy.
He was always making people laugh by showing off his muscles & singing.
He will be missed by many, including the EHS Class of ‘85.
