Raymond Nicholas Ray Pahls

Raymond Nicholas "Ray" Pahls, 86, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away September 8, 2017. He was born to the late Mathew and Florence Pahls on April 14, 1931, on a farm in Tipton, Kansas. Ray served in the U.S. Air Force after which he pursued a career in the aviation industry and worked at Boeing Aircraft Company and Gates Learjet. He met and married Thelma Marie Cazaudebat of Church Point, Louisiana. She preceded him in death. Ray was also preceded in death by 3 brothers and 5 sisters. Survivors: daughters, Deborah Pahls of Kansas City, MO, Caroline Hayes (William) of Wichita; sister, Agnes Macdonald of Wichita; grandchildren, Nicole Scheopner (Travis) of Wichita, Vincent Hayes of Denver, CO, Kyle Hayes of Wichita and Natalie Hayes of Lawrence. Rosary, 10:30 a.m.; Funeral Mass 11 a.m., both Tuesday, September 12 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. Memorials established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S.
