Rebecca Diane Becky Heidrick

Rebecca Diane "Becky" Heidrick, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2016, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on May 7, 1954, to William (dec.) and Donna (Horne) Bredow in Valparaiso, Indiana. Becky was married to Gary F. Heidrick on June 15, 1974. They have two children, Jeff (Becca) of Lenexa and Amy Uloho (Gift) of Wichita. Becky was a sixth grade teacher in the Maize School District for 23 years and was passionate about her students. She taught them patience, kindness and acceptance of all. Her survivors also include 4 grandchildren, Roman, Reeve and Isla Uloho of Wichita, Leah Heidrick of Lenexa; mother, Donna Bredow of Wakarusa; siblings, Jon Bredow of Arlington, TX, Vikki Noble of Auburn, Stephanie Moeller of Wakarusa; mother-in-law, Edith Heidrick of Salina; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; her cat, Cleocatra, and granddogs, Baxter, Bernie and Bruno. Becky was excited about the upcoming birth of a fifth grandchild in November. Visitation, 6-8 p.m., Friday, October 28, Downing & Lahey Mortuary West where the family will receive friends. Funeral service, 10 a.m., Saturday, October 29, Ascension Lutheran Church, 842 N. Tyler Road.
