Shields, Richard E. “Dick”, 82, retired Beech Aircraft sheet metal worker, died Monday, June 5, 2006. Visitation with the family, 7:00-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 7, 2006, Downing Lahey Mortuary West. Service, 2:00 P.M., Thursday, June 8, 2006, Asbury United Methodist Church. Dick was an avid fisherman, hunter, and gardener. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Maggie; brothers, Joseph, Grover, Jr., Fred, Raymond, and Lester; sisters, Nomia Shields, Clara Cramer, Florence Jones, Ollie Saunders. Survivors: wife, Doris; sons and daughters-in-law, Dorvan and Cheryl, Oklahoma City, OK, Terry and Cindy, Wichita; daughter, Doris Hill, Wichita; sisters, Goldie Jones, Midwest City, OK, Mildred Wilson, Gravette, AR, Helen McKinley, Sedgwick; grandchildren, Tera Lynn, Christopher Lee, Lacey Dianne, and Tyler Richard Shields, Stephanie Dawn and Steven Christopher Hill.
