Rita D. Boyer

Rita D. (Smithheisler) Boyer, 95, died on Monday, October 16, 2017. Born on April 21, 1922 in Garden Plain, Kansas, she was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. James R. and Edith Smithheisler, her four sisters (Eileen, Martina, Mercedes, and Gloria), and her husband of more than 65 years, James M. Boyer. She is survived by her children, Susan K. Stone, Steven C. Boyer, and Stephanie A. Mann (Mark); and by grandchildren, Kristie Stone Hockett (Colin) and Courtenay Boyer Rummel (Erik); and six great-grandchildren (Kayla and Richard; Paige, Xander, Colin, and Holden). Rosary at 9:30 a.m. and Memorial Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 24 at Blessed Sacrament, Wichita. Internment at Old Mission.
