Robert Bob Kirtley

Kirtley, Robert “Bob”, 62, KIA, Inc./Allstate co-owner, passed away Friday, July 22, 2011. Visitation with the family will be held Monday, 6 - 8 pm, at Downing and Lahey West. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 26th, 10 am, at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Wichita, with interment following at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Oklahoma City. Until his illness, Bob was a very active member of the Midian Shrine in Wichita and was a one-time player for legendary basketball coach, Henry Iba, at Oklahoma State University. He also was an avid fan and supporter of Wichita State basketball. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Bayless and Verlyne (Bassett) Kirtley. He is survived by wife, Pamela (Copper) Kirtley, of Wichita; brother, Bayless Kirtley, Jr. (Judy), and sister, Peggy Fulton (Rick), both of Oklahoma City; father and mother-in-law, Harold and Marilyn Copper, of Wichita, numerous nieces and nephews, and his beloved pet, Dixie. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Midian Shrine Plane of Mercy, 130 N Topeka, Wichita, KS, 67202 and the Wichita Humane Society, 3313 N Hillside, Wichita, KS, 67220.
