Robert "Bob" Lee Ream V passed away March 20, 2023 at the age of 96. Bob was born in Oklahoma City, but later moved to Wichita where he resided for the rest of his life. He attended East High School before enlisting in the US Navy at 17 years old. After completion of his service in 1946 he later attended Wichita State on the GI Bill. Bob received his bachelor's in Geology. At Wichita State he met his wife of 49 years, Bette Bethel from Eureka KS. Bette and Bob had two sons, Robert Lynn (Bob) and Bradford (Brad). Bob had a prosperous career at Boeing where he worked until retirement. He was very devoted to his family, and in later years, particularly to his grandchildren. One of his greatest joys was taking family trips to Red River, NM where he spent countless hours fishing with his grandchildren. Bob was a loving husband and father and was preceded in death by his first wife, Bette; his second wife Dorothy Langenwalter; and sons, Robert Lynn and Bradford. He is survived by his daughter in law, Jennifer Ream; and grandchildren Eric, Jason and Sarah Ream.A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at First United Methodist Church.A memorial has been established with First United Methodist Church, 330 N Broadway St, Wichita, KS 67202.Services in care of Downing & Lahey East Mortuary.
I enjoyed having conversations with Bob concerning his military experience in the navy during World War 11, his love for his two sons and his marriage with his first wife who he loved very much. Bob was also very proud of his three grandchildren and Jennifer who took care of him especially after his son Brad passed away. Bob and I discussed Politics a great deal in which he and I agreed upon 99 percent of the time and we both loved our former President Ronald Reagan. I will greatly miss Bob and all of our conversations he and I had throughout the years. Bob was a very good, honest and religious man and I know that he will have a place in heaven with his two sons and wife. Bob, you will be missed by a lot of people who loved and respected you. Your friend, Jerry.

Dear Jennifer –
Our heartfelt condolences to you and your children. We were saddened to read of Bob’s passing. Bob had experienced a lot of saddness throughout
the years and I’m sure your loving care and support meant much to him. I loved reading about the fishing trips to NM with your kids!
Sending love and prayers to all of you.
