Robert Bob Stimson

Stimson, Robert “Bob,” 91, passed away March 4, 2013 at 12:41 A.M. Celebration of Bobs Life will be at 10:00 A.M., Monday, March 11, 2013, at RiverWalk Church of Christ, 225 N. Waco. Bob proudly served in World War II, Army, Air Corps, South Pacific. After being discharged from the service, he was hired at Beech aircraft, where he worked until his retirement 43 years later. Bob was an avid golfer, and loved the sport. He took pride in gardening and loved fishing. Bob is preceded in death by his parents; 2 sons, Larry Dean and John David; and three sisters. He is survived by his wife Betty of 70 years; daughter, Anita (Steve) Saindon; sons, Craig (Rosie), Doug; 4 granddaughters; 4 great-granddaughters; 1 great-grandson. A memorial has been established with Carpenters Place Childrens Home, 1501 N. Meridian, Wichita, KS 67203. Downing Lahey Mortuary East.
