Bassford, Robert G. “Bob”, 79, retired U.S. Air Force Master Sergeant, passed away Friday, June 18, 2010. The memorial service will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 22 at Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Preceded in death by granddaughter, Amy. Survivors: wife of 58 years, Peggy; sons, Tom Bassford (Shelley) of Olathe, KS and Bobby Bassford (Christi) of Trinity, FL; daughters, Patti Bassford and Kathie Murrell (Ron) all of Kearney, MO and Robbi McGuffey (Jim) of Cheney, KS; brother, George A. “Buddy” Bassford, II; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established with Botanica, The Wichita Gardens, 701 Amidon, Wichita, KS, 67203.
