Robert H. Oberfell

Oberfell, Robert H., 80, retired Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineer for Beech Raytheon Aircraft. Beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2005. Services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 10 at Eastminster Presbyterian Church Chapel. Survivors: wife, Dee M.; daughter and son-in-law, Susan Tim Mussell of Mendota Heights, MN; grandchildren, Max Rachel Mussell. Robert worked for Beech and later Raytheon Aircraft for 37 years. He and Dee were high school sweethearts and married June 23, 1945. He loved to hunt and fish and was very active in Boy Scouts. He also served as a Boy Scout and Explorer leader. He served on the Technical Board of Butler County Junior College. He was a licensed Professional Engineer. He was a member of the Mayo Legacy and loved to travel. Robert was a member of Crestview Country Club. He was also a member of the Bestor G. Brown Masonic Lodge and the Wichita Scottish Rite. Robert also belonged to the Sons of the American Revolution. Memorials have been established with Eastminster Presbyterian Church Missions, 1958 N. Webb Rd., Wichita, KS 67206 and Kansas Humane Society, 4218 Southeast Blvd., Wichita, KS 67210. Downing Lahey East Chapel is handling arrangements.
