Robert J. Schoendaller entered into eternal life, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the age of 94. He was born in Liebenthal, KS, and graduated from St. Joseph’s Military Academy in 1949. He served in the Army during the Korean War. Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Dorothy. He is survived by their three daughters: Gail Gonzales (Eugene) of Litchfield Park, AZ; Laurie Koerper (Scott) of Overland Park, KS; and Doreen Feist (Jeff) of Woodbury, MN. They blessed him with seven grandchildren, and he was “Pop-Pop” to Michael Gonzales, Bobby Koerper, Sarah Koerper, Emma Sawyer, Hannah Feist, John Cooper Feist, and Maximillian Feist, as well as great-grandson, Wesley Sawyer. A Rosary will be held at 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 23, and a Funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, February 24, both at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Wichita. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery. Donations can be made in his memory to the VA Medical Center Kansas City MO, VA Medical Center Minneapolis MN, or to The Lord's Diner. Services in care of Downing & Lahey East Mortuary.
