Robert John Dodson

Robert John Dodson, 86, of Wichita, KS, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at his home. Robert was born to Robert E. Dodson and Irene A. Dodson (Miller) on February 22, 1930 in Centralia, IL. Robert was a loving, dedicated husband, father and grandfather to his family. He served proudly in the Army and retired after 20 years as a Lt. Colonel. Robert is survived by 2 daughters, Sharon Secrest (David) and Susan Olson (Mark); 1 son, Robert J. Dodson, Jr. (Linda); grandchildren, Mark, Sean, John, Kayla, Melissa and Megan; great-grandchildren, Blake and Aurora; sister-in-law, Judy Dodson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice; son, Richard; brother, William; parents, Robert and Irene; step-father, John Dieckow. Downing & Lahey Mortuary West.
