CLEARWATER - Schauf, Robert L. “Bob”, 69, retired Consolidated Freight truck driver of 37 years, died Tuesday, July 10, 2007. Memorial service, 11:00 A.M., Saturday, July 14, Westlink Christian Church, 2001 N. Maize Rd., Wichita, KS. Born January 10, 1938 to the late Leo and Pauline (Becker) Schauf. Also preceded in death by brothers, Edwin, Norbert, Herman, Ernest, Tony, and Eugene. He is survived by his wife, Thelma (Goodell) Schauf whom he married on October 7, 1989; daughters, Rogena (Bruce) Wellard of San Bernardino, CA, Rita Hunter of Liberal, Alesia Schauf of Marshfield, MO; sons, Robert Mitchel Schauf of Salt Lake City, UT, Richard Schauf of San Bernardino, CA; stepsons, Bryan (Ann) Cooper; Tim (Kathy) Cooper, both of Denver, CO; brother, Pete Schauf of Liberal; sisters, Dee Drane of San Marcos, TX, Maxine (Paul) Henning of Kaufman, TX, Marcie Leppke, Erma (Dean) Schuster both of Wichita; 7 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, their families and extended family. The greatest enjoyment of Bobs life was driving for CF Truck Lines and through his work, he acquired many lasting and enduring friendships. He was a very giving person, always there to help a friend, neighbor, or even a stranger, and gave his love and time to God by always helping at the church. Memorial fund established with Wichita Childrens Home, 810 N. Holyoke, Wichita, KS 67208. Downing Lahey Mortuary West.
