Preceded in death by parents, Arthur and Connie; sister, Jane Hiser; wife, Joan. Survivors: son, Jerry (Svetlana) Carter of Wichita; daughter, Barbara Carter of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Jessica (Jason) Haecker of Haysville, Jara Carter of Wichita.
