Robert Palmateer

Robert Dean Palmateer, 85, retired petroleum industry accountant, died peacefully Saturday, November 3, 2012. Preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jo; parents, Agnes and Robert; brothers, George, Charlie and Frank; sisters, Josephine and Belle. Survivors: daughter, Susan (Eric) Metz of Wichita; sons, Craig (Cyd) of Tulsa, Marc (Karen) of Wichita; grandchildren, Casey, Tyler, Nicholas, Lane (Alexandra) and Scott Palmateer and Elliot Metz; great-grandson, Joel Palmateer; brother, John (Beverly) of Manhattan; sister, Doris of Wakefield; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joe and Jackie Davis of Salina. Visitation with the family present, 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Friday, November 9, Downing Lahey Mortuary West. Service, 2:00 pm, Saturday, November 10, Oak Hill Presbyterian Church, Oak Hill, KS. Burial will follow in the Rose Meron Cemetery, Oak Hill, KS. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S.
