Robert W. "Bob" Erdman

Robert W. “Bob” Erdman, 90, retired Cessna Aircraft modification mechanic, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 29 years, Virginia Lee Fortner, and second wife of 26 years, Patsy R. Selby. He was twice blessed. Survivors: daughter, Cynthia (Jim) Catt of Wichita; son David Erdman of Frisco, TX; stepson, Jim Scott (Catherine) Selby of Wichita; stepdaughters, Jan Selby and Staci Crowell both of Fayetteville, AR; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-granddaughters. A Celebration of Life will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Asbury Church. To help celebrate Bob’s life, “a life well-lived”, the family requests all guests wear bright-colored, casual attire. In lieu of flowers, a memorial established with Asbury Church, 2801 W. 15th St. N., Wichita, KS 67203. Downing & Lahey Mortuary West.

My Uncle Bob: what a fun loving man. My memory of him was him always laughing and of course, talking!😛 Our conversations were always lively and long. He and my Dad were 2 big kids! His visits were much appreciated. I’m sad that won’t be happening anymore, but he has left happy memories in me. 🥰.
