Robert Walls
November 16, 1964 ~ January 20, 2022
On January 20, 2022, Robert Walls passed away at the age of 57. He was born in Denver, Colorado to Ona and Dick Walls and became the little brother to Alice Walls Sortino. He graduated from Tustin High School in Tustin, CA, in 1983, where he played baseball and basketball. He then attended University of Colorado to pursue a finance degree. While there, he was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity where he made lifelong friends.
He was in sales most of his career and owned a convenience store in Palm Beach Gardens where he charmed everyone with his smile and knowledge of his customers. He had moved to Wichita, KS to pursue his degree in accounting and learn farm management. He continued to follow the California Angels, and share his love of baseball, football, finances, cars, and music with so many people.
Rob is survived by his sister, Alice Walls Sortino; nieces, Desiree Sortino (spouse, Lucey Guevara) and Kortney Sortino; nephew, Joseph Sortino; his aunt and uncle, Judy and Brauch Fugate; uncle, Paul Finney; cousins, Christine Fugate and Marianne Fox.

His charming smile. In college we were friends and used to frequent a bar called the Dark Horse. I spent many a night talking, laughing and drinking with Rob, who always smiled. Never heard a harsh word from him. One night he called me his ‘sister,‘ and it warmed my heart. If I every needed anything-he’d be there. A terrible loss for his family, friends, Betas and the world.
