I just read with tremendous sadness of the passing of Rodger Arst. Roger had been a dear friend of mine for over 30 years and someone whom I loved and respected greatly. He was brilliant in so many different areas and yet always maintained his Midwestern ‘down-home’ attitude. I will never forget my trips to Wichita and my conversations with him which always ended with love being sent to each other and to our families. Words cannot express my deep grief at this time and I hope that Patty and the children can hold on to the many wonderful memories Im sure they all possess. Patty, Michael, Matt, Sarah Dottie and I were saddened to learn of Rodger’s passing. I’m sorry for your loss. Over the 30+ years we have been friends, we had a special connection that went beyond just the commonality of our business interests. I admired his wit, his clear thinking idea factory of a brain that constantly amazed me, and his kindness. He leaves an enduring legacy for his family, the industry that he contributed so much to, and to friends like me. Murray and Dottie Goodman
My deepest sympathies to your family. Through your company I saw a truly unique and bonded family that I remember with great fondness. Im so sorry I couldnt be with you today. Know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers in the coming weeks.
Pastor T.L. Wade and New Jerusalem Church family wishes to extend our deepest condolences to your family in the passing of Mr. Roger Arst. In his lifetime he and his wife, through Myrtle Franklin-Thomas helped our church. We pray for your strength through this difficult time. Be encouraged
My best to you all. I will remember Rodger fondly, as I do my time at the company he led for so long.
My condolences go out to your entire family on the loss of Rodger. It had been my priviledge to get to know him over the last five years, even though I knew of him in the business world and Goldsmith’s for years before. I found him to be so positive about life, family and business opportunities that it usually picked me up after visiting with him. Rodger was a great guy. I will miss him.
