Roger Alan Grube, 71, finish carpenter, born in Oakland, Nebraska August 23rd, 1952, and passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2023. Preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Betty Grube; brother, Keith Grube. Survived by his wife of 49 years, Diana Grube; sons, Jason (Marilyn) Grube, Justin (Adrianna) Grube; daughter, Kimberly (Matthew) Churchman; grandchildren, Amaya, Emma, Jaydon, Payton, Preston, Sophia, Braylon, Braxon, Noah, Brett, Julianna, Joel. He was a graduate of Wichita West High School (Class of 1970). Roger was extremely talented with his hands and a master of his craft. Examples of his craftsmanship can be found in many beautiful homes throughout the Wichita area. He was a mentor to many other finish carpenters throughout his career. Roger left his mark on this world not just in homes but most importantly in our hearts. He set a perfect example of what it meant to be a husband, father, and “Opa”. He was blessed with marrying his teenage sweetheart with whom he shared almost 50 years as husband and wife. Roger left a legacy of character that lives on in every one of his children and grandchildren. Visitation will be 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Downing & Lahey Mortuary West. Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at Riverlawn Christian Church. A memorial has been established with: Riverlawn Christian Church, 4243 N. Meridian Ave., Wichita, KS 67204.
Rest in peace sweet man! So so sorry Diana. I know how much you guys loved each other.
We share such a nice memory with Roger as he and Diana visited us in the Netherlands in June this year. We spoke together as if we were brothers. We ar so sorry for Diana and the other family in loosing such en nice person.
We’ll keep him in memory as a very kind person who was so much interested in the old windmill he and Diana once visited.
