Sellens, Ronnie P. “Ron”, 73, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 3, 2012. Visitation with the family, 6-8:00 p.m., Monday, February 6, Downing and Lahey Mortuary West. Graveside Service, 11 a.m., Tuesday, February 7, Resurrection Cemetery. Ron was born December 6, 1938 in Kansas City, Missouri to Samuel Paul and Marguerite (Jennings) Sellens. He served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force. Ron was a successful businessman for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Alexander; sister, Fern, and a baby boy. Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Carol M. (Wharton) Sellens; sons, Ron Sellens, Jr. (Sharri) of Holton, KS, Tim Sellens (Kim) of Ozark, MO; daughters, Deborah Harp of Kechi, KS, Donna Davis (Tim) of Clearwater, KS; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and many friends. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center, 5500 E. Kellogg Ave, Wichita, KS 67218.

Hi my name is Lori Fry. maiden name is Jennings.Your husband, father was my cousin. I haven’t seen him in years but his mother was my dad’s sister. Just wanted to share my condolences. he was 23 years older than me so I barely remember him but he was the son of my favorite aunt. Im very sorry for your loss.
