Ronald L. Blasi

Ronald L. Blasi, passed away June 26, 2017, surrounded by those he loved, at his home in Wichita of 44 years. He was born June 12, 1938, in Nashville, Kansas, to Anna and Leo Blasi, and was number 14 out of 17 children. Ron was a retired machinist who worked at Blanchet Machine Shop for 41 years. He loved being outside, working in his garage, collecting and taking apart junk, playing Keno and spending time with his family. Ron was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Richard, Floyd, Alvin, Vernon, Daniel, James, Clarentine, Thelma and Diann. He leaves behind his wife of 45 years, LaVerne; children, Donna Brown, Roseann Petty (Brian) and Vincent, all of Wichita; grandchildren, Justin, Bella, Garrison and Otis; step-grandsons, Tyler, and Adrian; brothers, Frank and Paul Blasi; sisters, Doris Werbach, June Staab, Pat Herron, Joan Kelly and Betty Lagaly. Rosary, 7:30 p.m., Thursday, June 29; Funeral Mass, 10 a.m., Friday, June 30, both at Christ the King Catholic Church.
