Ronnie D. Thompson

Ronnie D. Thompson, a dedicated husband and loving father, passed away March 4th, 2025, at the age of 77. He was born on January 1st 1948, in Wichita Kansas. He was an Insurance Adjuster for over 50 years. He was known for his dedication and expertise in his field. He is survived by his son, Lowell Thompson. He is preceded in death by parents, Oliver and Lois Thompson, wife, Carol Thompson, son, Matthew Thompson. He will be remembered for his love of music, his love of aviation, and the joy of being on open water. He spent many years working with the Boy Scouts of America. He dedicated most of his life to playing the trumpet, participating in Senseney Music until his passing. A memorial service will be held at Downing & Lahey Mortuary, 10515 W. Maple, Wichita, KS 67209 on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 2:00 pm. The family requests any donations be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, P. O. Box 22324, New York, New York 10087 and The St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105 in his name.
