Ronnie Eugene Roads, 76, passed away May 14, 2020 while surrounded by his wife, children and family. He was the husband of Joyce Elaine Roads. They shared 42 years of marriage together. Ronnie was born in Wichita, Kansas and was the son of Alvin Eugene Roads and Arlous “Vera” Roads. Ronnie retired from Sunflower Electric in Garden City, Kansas. He will be remembered for his loving marriage, how proud and supportive he was of all his children, his leadership amongst work peers, and his ability to bring an infectious love for life to all who knew him. Ronnie is survived by his wife, Joyce Roads; his children, James Eugene Roads, Darold Ray (spouse, Karen) Roads, Lucinnda Raquel Roads Giffin (spouse, Michael), Kristen LaNae Roads, Jeri Ann Winkler Schupman, Janya Winkler Weiss; his brothers, Dennis Roads (spouse, Dixie) Roads, Marlin “Marty” (spouse, Reta) Roads. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Ronnie was predeceased in death by father, Alvin; mother, Vera; brother, Gary; his daughter, Rhonda Lea; and son, Tracy Dale. Family is holding a graveside service tentatively planned for June 27, 2020 in Garden City, KS at Valley View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Larksfield Place Retirement Communities (Health Care Rehabilitation), 7373 E. 29th St. North, Wichita, KS 67226 in memory of Ronnie. Services in care of Downing & Lahey East Mortuary.

Ronnie was an absolute joy to work with and a wonderful person. I count it a blessing to have him and Joyce’s friendship. I will never forget the times we spent together at work/play. All the “little things” you have done mean the world to me. I will always have a special place in my heart for my dear friends. ♥️
