Rosane Machado

January 6, 1957 ~ December 4, 2021
Rosane Schweitzer Machado passed into the arms of Jesus on December 4, 2021, in Wichita KS. She was born in Santa Cruz do Sul, Brazil on January 6, 1957. Later she moved to Kansas and became a U.S. citizen.
Rosane devoted her life to spreading the gospel and helping those who were hurting. She met her husband Marcelo when they were students at Brazil’s first YWAM Discipleship Training School in 1975. After evangelizing with YWAM for several years, she and Marcelo pastored churches in Brazil. Later, Rosane traveled internationally. She taught the Bible and made disciples. In Wichita, she taught a popular Sunday school class at Asbury Church. And she always prayed fervently for others. She also worked as a receptionist at Via Christi Founders circle for 17 years.
Above all this, Rosane loved Jesus.
Mrs. Machado is survived by her husband, Marcelo Machado of Wichita; by her daughter Quezia Rogers and by her son-in-law, Jeff Rogers of Kailua Kona, Hawaii; by her son, Israel Machado of Wichita; by her son, Estevan Machado and daughter-in-law, Marcia Machado of Caxias do Sul, Brazil; and by her grandchildren, Daniel and Alana Rogers; Natalie and Emily Machado; and Christian and Matheus Machado.
In lieu of flowers, Rosane’s children request that donations be made to https://givesendgo.com/G2DY7 to help pay for their dad, Marcelo’s medical bills.
A Celebration of Life will be Friday, December 17 at 6 p.m. at Riverlawn Christian Church. Services in care of Downing & Lahey Mortuary West Chapel. Share tributes online at www.dlwichita.com.
Rosane, mighty and awesome woman of God has impacted the lives of my family in powerful ways! You could see the love of Jesus in her eyes every day! I will greatly miss her in this earthly realm. Rosanne manifested the joy of the Lord so well! My heart goes out to all her family! Father God’s shalom be with you all! May you all experience Father’s wrap-around presence as He holds you in His loving arms!
I was so sorry to hear of Rosane’s passing. I worked at Wichita Clinic until 2015. She was always so kind and sweet. Even now, as a patient, she always greeted me by name and was always ready for a friendly chat. May love bring you peace and memories bring you comfort.
May peace come to Rosane and her family. Sending all my love.

Sílvia machado.- Sister- in -law
An amazing woman of God, Wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and a true prophetess in the family of God. Although missed on earth, welcomed home in heaven. A witness waiting to welcome us home when our time comes. In the meantime, the God of all comfort , will comfort all that are grieving among those among us that love and miss Roseanne, is the best comforter of all. 2Cor. Chp 1. Loren & Darlene Cunningham
Rosane was such a beautiful happy person and I loved working with her a Founder’s Circle. I can remember her being mad at me once and all I had to do was ask her if she was ‘really mad’ at me. Of course, she smiled and laughed and gave me a big hug and said no. When i moved into my apartment, she took almost all of my house plants because I had no space. She would gleefully show me pictures and tell me they were growing and blooming for her. I will miss you terribly, Rosane. You made going to work something I looked forward to and coming to see the doctors after I left Founder’s a happy occasion. May you Rest In Peace, my dear friend.
