Ross, Edwin C., Lt Col., 74, USAF (retired) of Wichita, passed away at his home on March 13, 2012. Born in Chicago on July 21, 1937, he served 24 years in the U.S. Air Force. During his career he flew the B-47. He later completed over 100 combat missions in Vietnam during operation Ranch Hand. Ed took a second retirement from Flight Safety International in 2000. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Beth and his son Greg (Amy) of Lake Worth, FL. Services are to be held at Downing Lahey Mortuary East Chapel at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, March 16, 2012. Dear brother, Im sorry our time was so short but Im glad we were able to reconnect after too long. I know each of us have so many days but nonetheless its difficult to let go when the time comes; especially when there is so much left to say.
