Rozella Matson Rose Roach

Roach, Rozella (Rose) Matson 80, retired dental assistant, died Thursday, September 15, 2005. Visitation 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Sunday, September 18 Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Service 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 19 University United Methodist Church, graveside service 3:30 P.M., Whitewater Cemetery, Whitewater, KS. The oldest of five children, Rose was born July 20, 1925 in Kechi, KS to Paul Ellen Matson. As a dental assistant, she was awarded the Citation of Life, members recognition of 25 consecutive years, she almost made it the 2nd 25 years, with a total of 42 altogether. She was one of the first 14 charter members in the city of Wichita Certified dental assistants. She married Robert Roach in 1950 and had two sons, Robert Roach Jr. born in 1955 and Richard Roach born in 1957. Preceded in death by husband Robert in 1972, and son Robert Jr. in 1996. Survivors; son, Richard Roach, Rural Kechi, KS; brothers, Richard Matson, Wichita, KS, Rudy L. Matson, Longton, KS, Ray Matson, Haysville, KS; sister, Clara Roberta “Bobby” Cheney, Ft.
