Ruben Longoria, Jr.

Ruben Longoria, Jr., 62, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014, after losing his battle with cancer. Ruben was born in Edcouch, TX, and grew up in Liberal, KS before moving to Wichita. He retired from the U.S. Army after serving honorably as a war veteran and was decorated for serving in many conflicts throughout multiple theaters. He worked 16 years for the City of Wichita and 18 years with Sedgwick County. Preceded in death by father, Ruben Sr.; brother, John; sister, Cleotilde, and Roberto, Rubens twin that passed at birth. Survivors: wife, Karen Bailey of Wichita; mother, Maria of Liberal; sisters, Mary Quince (Robert) of Memphis, TN, Martha Smith (Norman) of Liberal, and brothers, Richard (Isabel) and Mike of Liberal, Frank of San Antonio, TX, George (Aurora) of Denver, CO; loving cousins, many nephews and nieces and his two adorable dogs, Max and Mona.
