Russell Thrash, age 67 of Andale, Kansas, passed away Monday, August 25th, 2025, after a courageous battle with his health and lungs. His memorial services will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, September 6th, 2025, at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary.

Russell was a lifelong entrepreneur and the founder of TFM Services in Wichita, KS. He was a beloved husband, dad, pa, son, brother, uncle, nephew, friend and mentor. He worked hard, played hard, lived well, laughed often, loved and inspired much and many. He is irreplaceable, one-of-a-kind man who will be honored, cherished, remembered and loved by everyone he leaves behind.

Russell is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Joan Thrash; his brother, Tracy Thrash; sister-in-law, Brenda Thrash; brother-in-law, Kelly Moody; and his two nephews, Chris and Travis Thrash.

He is survived by his loving wife, Suzanne Thrash, and his 3 daughters and sons- in-law, Stephanie and Lance Ricketts, Jamie and Austin Washburn and Torie Thrash; brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Carol Thrash, brother, Darin Thrash and his sister, Dana Moody; grandchildren, Drake Ricketts, Jemma Washburn, Jett Ricketts, Rubie Ricketts, Axel Washburn and Goldie Washburn; nephews, Jeromy, Eric, Derek, Trevor, Lucas, Corbin, Miles and Hayden; nieces, Stacia, Tasha and Angelina; and last, but not least, his lil buddy Tommy the dog 😊; and endless amounts of family and friends.

Russell was a great friend and we had a lot of good times on our road trips searching for oil and gas signs and also meeting up with other collectors and friends who also had a passion for advertisement, cars, and motorcycles. You will be missed Russell, and I will remember the many laughs we had along the way. Light up the sky Russell🎆! My condolences to Suzanne and family.

  5. I grew up in Peabody with the Thrash family. What good time’s we had. I have ran into Russell here in Wichita over the past few years. I had a harley for several years, we even road together a couple time’s.

    I’m so sorry to hear of Russell’s passing. We both went to Brigham physical therapy where I’d see him every now and then. I always looked forward to see which car he’d be driving!

    Russell you will be missed. He repeatedly told me he was jealous of me in high school cause I was the first girl to have a harley. I love the Thrash family, great times, great memories.

  6. What can I say. I was blessed beyond words to have him as my DAD! ♡♡ someone who i will miss everyday of my life from now on. Such a strong man to look up too. He seemed to have the answers for EVERYTHING! I will miss everything about him. But ill miss the little things the most. Like phone calls and Sunday fundays! I love you so much dad!! 💗

You always had great advice and you were always welcoming and willing to show a young buck the ropes. Loved taking to you and hearing your stories and working for you.   10. Sorry to hear of Russell’s passing. I have good memories of him and all of his family when we first met in Wichita and then Peabody. Our paths eventually diverged but we would occasionally connect and reminisce. Gone way too soon but by all accounts a life well lived. I’m sure he will be missed and treasured.

    to cherish. He knew how to share his love, wisdom, and time with family and friends. Those were
    the precious times we will always remember.

  15. Wow so sad to get this news, I remember all those years under the Big Top us trying to figure out how to be bigger and better than we were the previous years. I always respected you for having “boots on the ground” and family was the most important thing we possessed, you were always there in a crisis and doing what you could to help. Gotta tell you one last time that you really were my fav cousin named Russell and I love for that brother. Ride hard and ride fast with your hair on fire like you always have
