Ruth Evelyn Helsel

Helsel, Ruth Evelyn, 92, of Life Care Center of Wichita, passed away on the morning of August 13, 2012. She was born on December 4, 1919 in Norwich, Kansas. Ruth graduated from Wichita High School North. She was married to Leo R. Helsel, Sr. and he preceded her in death in October of 1970. She was a loving wife, homemaker, and worked in sales and offices at different jobs. She was active in the churches she attended as a member. She is survived by sons, Leo R. Helsel, Jr. (Linda) and Robert O. Helsel (Kris) and daughter, Susan Lee Ahrens; grandkids, Andrea Helsel Tiday, Jeremy Helsel (Brooke), Darin Helsel, Brandon Ahrens (Dawn), Carrie Ahrens and Sarah Ahrens; great-grandkids, Tyler Helsel, MacKenzie Helsel, Dylan Ahrens, Lyndsey Ahrens and Kayla Ahrens. Visitation with the family is 9:00 a.m., Thursday, August 16 with funeral service following at 10:00 a.m., both at Downing Lahey Mortuary East with interment at Lakeview Cemetery.
