Ruth (Whilden) Cummins

Ruth (Whilden) Cummins, 85, died Wednesday, January 18, 2017. No Services. Preceded in death by her husband, Edward “Mick” Cummins. Survived by her daughters, Mary (Jack) Armstrong, Lou Anne (William) Sorensen, Shari (Greg) Lovendahl; brother, W.H. (Peggy) Whilden; nephews, Mark and Richard; grandchildren, Luke, Matt, and Dylan Armstrong, Kate Sorensen, Ivy Nispel, Jake Lovendahl; great-grandchildren, Katie, Wyatt and Courtny Caselton; pets, Ellie and Pretty Girl. As a nursing student in Texas, Ruth met a dashing pilot, Mick, who became her husband of 56 years. Ruth was an R.N., medical secretary, and friend to stray animals, birds, and dogs in crisis. She spent her life providing nursing care to others including her husbands journey through Alzheimers. She was dearly loved and will be missed.
