Sally Bell

Bell, Sally Sandifer, 86, passed away Friday, January 11, 2013. Preceded in death by parents, Bob and Esther Sandifer. Sally was a past president of the Board of the Wichita Childrens Home, a board member of the Wichita Art Museum, a member of The Junior League, a member of Delta Gamma at KU, consummate volunteer, a member of the Daughters of the King at St. James Episcopal Church, a full time bridge player and social butterfly. Sally will always be remembered by her sense of humor, her ability to tell stories, and her ever present smile. She is survived by husband Fred, son David and partner Jennifer Comes, daughter Carolyn and partner Margery Pacheco, daughter Nancy and husband Calvin Ringer; brother Bob and wife Cris Sandifer of Key Largo; sister Susan and husband Larry Hamil of Denver, sister-in-law Judy Bell of Colorado Springs; grandchildren, Amy and Michael Ringer, Tagen and Francesca Pacheco. In lieu of flowers Sally would like memorials to be sent to the Wichita Childrens Home, 810 N. Holyoke St., Wichita, 67208, and St. James Episcopal Church, 3750 E. Douglas, Wichita, 67208. The family would like to thank the staff of Regent Park Rehabilitation Hospital for their loving and compassionate care and the wonderful caregivers who helped her in the home. Memorial services will be held on Friday, January 18 at 1 p.m. at St. James Episcopal. Downing Lahey Mortuary East.
