Sandi Simon

On the evening of January 9, 2022, Sandi Simon of Wichita gained her heavenly wings at the age of 79. Sandi was born to Robert and Marguerite Smith in Washington, DC in 1942. She received her bachelor’s degree in social work from Wichita State University and was a Deacon in her church. She was married to David Simon. She had five children, Mary Moore, Mike Moore, Jamie Moore, Jana Price and Michelle Ruge; and two stepdaughters, Ashley Simon, and Sindee Simon. Sandi enjoyed playing golf, meeting with her stock club, and meeting with her prayer group. She was a lover of animals, especially her beloved dog Lily. She was known for her great sense of humor and her willingness to help anyone in need. Sandi was preceded in death by her father, Robert; her mother, Marguerite; her husband, David; her brother, Stan; and her son, Jamie. She is survived by her children, Mary, Mike (Toshiko), Jamie’s wife Kathy, Jana (Rodney) and Michelle (Tom) and her stepdaughters, Sindee (Greg) and Ashley (Gary). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Erin, Paige, and Easton. Memorial Services will be held at 10 am on January 22, 2022, at Eastminster Presbyterian Church.
