Saundra "Samee" Lacy, 68, Cosmetologist, died Tuesday, September 6, 2022. Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Preceded in death by her parents, Elmer "Duke" and Betty Lou (Hager) Rush. Survived by her children, Justin (Amy) Ford, Lauren (Jason) Janzen-Hubbard; siblings, Sharon Rush-Matchett, Kathryn (Shelly) Rush, Jeffrey Rush, all of Wichita, Amy (Justine) Rush of Memphis, TN. A memorial has been established with: Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N. Hillside, Wichita, KS 67219. Services in care of Downing & Lahey Mortuary - East Chapel.

Sammee and I bonded as soon as we met. She will always be in my heart, and I love her children as well. She took care of my pup as if he were her own. She will be missed.
I am still in shock, I am sorry for your loss. I know when I lost my Mom as honery and mean as she was there still isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about her and miss her. Life is too short for some really short so don’t forget to tell your loved one that you love them Kiss them when you can and don’t hold a grudge don’t go to bed mad cuz you could be left with regret and heart brake. Samee was a lot of things some people loved her some hated her I admired that woman from the day I met her, she could be judgemental, some might say stuck up, but those who she loved she loved with all that she was. She will be missed…..
My heart goes out to the family. She’s was truly loved. Samee will be missed. May God almighty lift the families hearts and give them comfort.
First meeting Kat and then, the rest of the family! Singing songs ..those girls always had a smile!
I’ve been out of touch..hadn’t heard about Sam’s passing.
