Sharon J. Wasson

Sharon J. Wasson, 81, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 21, 2017. Sharon was born in Wichita, Kansas, to Aura and Curtis Good on April 27, 1936. She attended Wichita schools and graduated with a degree in Education from Wichita University. She taught for several years at Black Elementary School before starting her family. Sharon was deeply religious and active in her church, Christian Womens Fellowship, PEO and Delta Gamma sororities. She was also an avid golfer and a big Shocker fan. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Floyd Farmer, and stepson, Bob Wasson. Survivors: her loving husband of 42 years, Don Wasson; son, Dr. Eric Farmer (Jane) of Wichita; daughter, Dana Farmer Silber (Alan) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; brother, Owen Good (Livy) of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Dalton Farmer and Dylan and A.J. Silber. Other survivors include stepchildren, Vee Wasson Riley (Bill) of Hurst, TX, Gregg Wasson (Beth) of Wichita, Andy Wasson of Reno, NV; grandchildren, Cliff and Kyle Riley, Callie, Adam, Jacob, Ashley and Matt Wasson; great-grandchild, Evan Wasson. Service, 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 26, at Asbury United Methodist Church. It can honestly be said that God received a true angel. In lieu of flowers, memorial established with Susan G.
