Shirley Ann Matz

Shirley Ann Matz, born November 5, 1936, passed away August 28, 2024, at the age of 87. Shirley retired from the Sedgwick County District Court and loved traveling and spending time with family. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary. Funeral Service will be at 10:30 am, Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at Ascension Lutheran Church. Preceded in death by her parents, John and Vivian Holmes; husband, Alfred James Matz. Survived by her daughters, Barbara (Randy) Jahnke, Patricia (Steven) Tronsgard; grandchildren, Joshua (Liz) Jahnke, Jenni (Carlos) Rodriquez, Judi (Justin) Maphet, Aaron Tronsgard, Beth (Aaron) Wilson; great-grandchildren, Ryan and Dylan Jahnke, Zizi, Mauricio, Nayeli and Karis Rodriquez, Hunter Maphet, Jack and Jonah Tronsgard, Odin, Sam and Eli Wilson; and sister, Billie McAfee.
