Shirley Ann Stephens, 75, homemaker, passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2021. Funeral Service, 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 3, Downing & Lahey Mortuary West. Funeral Service will be Live Streamed and available to view by clicking “Watch Event” below. Graveside Service will follow at 3:30 p.m., in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Mt. Hope, KS. Shirley was married to her husband, Erroll, for over 41 years. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed sewing, spending time outside, and loved her dog, Auggie. She enjoyed supporting her grandchildren through sporting events, concerts, and their other activities. She enjoyed going to church when she could, both when she attended Garfield Lutheran Church and then Good Shepherd Episcopal Church. Preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Edna Appel; husband, Erroll Stephens; brothers, Harley and Kenneth Appel. Survivors: daughters, Serena (Tom) Locker of Wichita, Deann (Ted) Seems of Hutchinson; sons, Jason Stephens of Nickerson, and Kevin Cossman of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Alicia, Braden, Seth, Evan and Elizabeth; brothers, Ben (Elaine) Appel Jr. and Bob (Pat) Appel; sister, Bonnie Jean (Gilbert) Larkin; sister-in-law, Martha Appel. Memorials established with Phoenix Home Care & Hospice, 3450 N. Rock Rd., Wichita, KS 67226 and Garfield Lutheran Church, 203 Sherman, Garfield, KS 67529. Downing & Lahey Mortuary West.
