Guestbook

  1. Dear Christie, Mom called last night to let me know about Shirley. It seems so odd that we had just seen each other over the holidays in wichita and she looked great. As you know, your parents were such a part of my childhood. I still find it amazing how inviting they were into their home for 5 little rug rats who would just pop in unannounced! On our behalf, Please raise a glass and toast Shirley and Pete for truly being dear friends to all the Manning’s. An era is passing….. With warmest regards, Mary Lynn Manning

  2. Dear Family, I wanted to say that neighbors and friends from the old Belmont address remember your family fondly. We lost track of both Pete and Shirley after they left here, and when Barbara Baylor died, the glue of the neighborhood seemed to disappear. Lee Baylor, who still lives around the corner, named family members when I read the obituary to him, and I certainly remember as far back as Shirley fitting shoes on my kids when they were small. Does that take you back? Our sympathies sent to you all in remembrance of your mother. Cathie Hay at 307.

  4. It is with deep sadness that I have met the news of your mother’s passing. I so remember the interest and parental support given by both Pete and Shirley during those primary years for us, Jack, at Blessed Sacrament, and the energy and charm you gave to our basketball team, Christie. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this most difficult time.
