Sparks, Herbert A. “Bud”, Jr., 62, owner of “Bud” Sparks Construction, died Tuesday, Feburary 10, 2009. Memorial service, 10:00 A.M., Saturday, February 14, Northridge Friends Church. Survivors: wife, Marjean; sons, Marc Sparks and Herbert “Austin” Sparks III; daughter, Michelle Nugent; sister, Carol Chesney; five grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202. Downing Lahey Mortuary West.

Bud was a good and kind man.All of us at Star Lumber thought very highly of Bud.In all of the 25+ years I’ve known him he was always ‘One Of The Good Guys’.He will be missed. Throughout his illness his courage and determination is to be admired by all!
Aunt Marjean, Michelle, Marc & Austen, Buddy will be missed! He always had a kind smile & I have very fond memories of the times we were together. I am sorry I won’t be able to come but I will be in thought & prayer with you. May God Bless you in this time of sorrow. All our love Ronnie, Karen, Kurtis, Kyle & Amy.
To Marjean and family especially Austin …I saw the paper today and it took me right back to 26 years ago when i met you in the NICU at WMC. I remember you all so well and hope these have been good years filled with wonderful memories for your family. I can’t imagine what an enormous hole in your family with Bud gone. I send you a prayer and much love to your entire family. I still work in the nursery part time.
