Lang-Spane, Stella L., 72, retired Koch Industries property tax clerk, died Sunday, February 26, 2006. Visitation 6:00 ~ 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 1, Downing and Lahey Mortuary East. Service 11:00 A.M., Thursday, March 2, Risen Savior Lutheran Church. A graveside service will be held in Golden Valley, ND. Preceded in death by her first husband, Gary Lang, brother, Roy Halter and parents, John and Emma Halter. Survivors: husband, Roger Spane; sons, Scott Lang of Olathe, KS, Mitchell Lang (Margaret) of Hutchinson, KS; step-son, Christopher Spane of Kokomo, IN; step-daughter, Sabrina Luckey of Galveston, IN; brothers, Gordon Halter of Great Bend, KS, Victor Halter of Las Vegas, NV, Ralph Halter of Bismark, ND, Matt Halter of Seattle, WA and Allan Halter of Dickinson, ND; sisters, Phyllis Schlaght of Ellinwood, KS, Shirley Huber of Dickinson, ND and Verlyn Kolmer of Seattle, WA. four grandchildren; five step-grandchildren. I’m so sorry of hear/read of Stella’s passing. I worked with Stella at Koch Industries, in the Tax Department. She was such a nice woman to visit with. My children were just babies when I worked with her and she would be so comforting and speak calmly (offering advice) when I would share my ‘adventures’ raising them. Stella always had a smile on her face. What an example she set. I hope each of you find peace in the following days.
