68, Specialized Machinist at Boeing for 33 years, died Saturday, July 11, 2020. No Services. Survived by his wife, Melinda Roepken; sister, Sandy (Michael) Bashaw. Steve was born in Kettering, OH and moved to Wichita in 1972. A memorial has been established with: Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N. Hillside, Wichita, KS 67219. Downing & Lahey Mortuary - East Chapel.

BMW Club Racing will not be the same without Steve there. He was a fantastic steward, and I will miss him sorely — his laugh, sense of humor, huge smile. Rest peacefully, Steve.
I remember my first time working with Steve at Texas World Speedway. He walked me through a few problems and how to do the paperwork involved. He was a great friend,especially after he introduced you to me. I will miss him and you Malinda. With our deepest sympathy,Ty and Colleen
