Please accept our deepest condolences for your family’s loss.
My heart goes out to Sue’s family, extended family and the Community at the loss of such a precious woman. I was blessed to get to know Sue when I worked as her assistant at Bryan Cave. She was not just my boss, she was also my friend. I just learned of her passing today and am devastated. I’ll forever cherish the memories I have of her. After she left the St. Louis area, we would touch base from time to time. I called Sue a few weeks ago because she had been on my mind. At the time, she was out of the office so I left a message and had been awaiting a return phone call from her. It was always so good to hear her voice. You’re all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Gerry & Jeremy….words can’t express what we feel for you at this time of sorrow. She was a wonderful person and loved you & Jeremy with all of her heart. I know she has many friends that will mourn with you and help you know how much Sue was loved! Our Deepest Sympathy & Love, Don & Marie
Rest in peace, Sue. Your grace, courage and passion has been a model for so many. And your legacy will live on in all that you touched here on earth. You dedicated your life in service to others and your community. May your spirit inspire us all to do the same.
Sue, dear – thank you for your outstanding service to your sisters and brothers and your passion for the ‘little ones’. May you now look after all of us and illuminate the pathways of peace for our footsteps.
I keep remembering all the time we spent together laughing and the countless marathon phone conversations we had, taking turns comforting each other from life’s upsets, laughing about the latest dog story, sharing our latest victories or greatest frustrations. I see and hear her laughing, and I know the only way I’ll experience her again is by remembering, and I know it feels now like that will never be enough. But in time I will settle in to that acceptance. I will eventually feel a smile move across my face rather than a tear roll down my cheek when I remember her. We were so blessed to have her as a member of our family. I am so proud of her and what she accomplished in her short life. She was a vibrant, caring, intelligent woman – a wonderful expression of spirit, whose love for life was expressed through her desire to make this world a better place. Thank you, Sue, for making us your family. Even though you’ve returned to non-physical, we’ll see you again, I’m sure.
Sue was a friend to all who met her, she gave of her heart with every smile and bright hello. I have never known such a generous spirit and am fortunate to have been able to be counted among those who loved her. My heart breaks for all of us feeling the pain and shock of her loss.
Sue was one of the finest people I knew. Please be proud of the person she was. The community and her friends will miss her greatly. I am comforted only by the fact that I know she is with God.
Sue was a smart, dedicated, compassionate and vibrant person. She made a unique contribution to our community, and she will be greatly missed.
I worked with Sue during her years at Bryan Cave and she was always very cordial and professional. She had a wonderful personalty and extremely pleasant to work with. She was a terrific co-worker at Bryan Cave and I am sure she will be greatly missed in her community.
I met Sue soon after she moved here. We worked together at Communities In Schools and became good friends. I was always so impressed with her personal and professional accomplishments as the years passed. She was incredibly compassionate and a true treasure for those who know her personally and for those who never did, but benefited from her generosity of spirit. What a beautiful memory she is.
I met Sue when she began her worked at NCCJ. I served on the Board of Directors for 15 years. She was truly a treasure for those in need. Peace for all was her motivating force. What a true loss for us all. She was ‘An Angel Flying To Close To the Ground’ Willie Nelson.
To Sue’s family and friends, I offer my deepest sympathy. Her death is not only your great personal loss, but one that impacts all the staff and supporters of Inter-Faith Ministries. My hopes and prayers are with you. Sincerely, Pat Cameron
I am in awe to read so many beautiful tributes to Sue and find out about the amazing things she did for our community. I did not know Sue as this person, I knew her as a loving and devoted pet owner. Sue was known at our veterinary hospital as a strong, beautiful person that would do whatever she could for her four legged ‘boys’. After reading the other tributes and knowing more about her life, this seems to be just who she was. Sydney had challenging health issues later in life and Sue took on each iseue with determination and love- always thinking about what was best for Sydney first. Sydney and Sampson were very lucky to have had her and I am honored to have been part of the family that cared for them. My heart hurts with the knowledge that she has left a whole in so many lives- her pets included. She will be missed and always remembered by those of us at Heartland Animal Hospital
Sue, you have outlived your life. Your legacy speaks for the person you were. Thank you for everything you gave of yourself – to me and so many others who knew you and who never knew you. The world is a better place because of you. Rest In Peace, dear One, and we’ll meet again on the other side.
My thoughts are with you
I worked with Sue at Bryan Cave for a year before she left. Sue was a wonderful, sweet person. Such a loss at such a young age.
My thoughts and prayers are with you. Please don’t hesitate to contact me should there be anything that I can do to help at this time.
We had the chance to get acquainted with Sue as part of a Kansas Leadership Center class, and one couldn’t help but be taken with Sue’s caring. She cared deeply for her community, for those less fortunate, and for the people around her. For them, in the most positive sense, she was a good and faithful servant.
Sue was my manager when she worked at Bryan Cave. She was an encouraging, dedicated, fun-loving, intelligent person who I will never forget. We spoke many times after she left Bryan Cave because I still needed her as a friend and she was ALWAYS there when you needed her. The world has lost a wonderful person but gained an Angel.
In these times, being employed is indeed a blessing and discovering true friendship is a gift but to be fortunate enough to have experienced both in the same space and time is a rare treasure. Having met Sue while serving at NCCJ, I found that treasure. Learning of her passing left me numb for a bit…the city of Wichita and all she served with and on behalf of suffered the loss of a champion of people, many whose voices went unheard or undervalued. I’m trusting in God to ease the pain of a heavy heart and believing that there are no mistakes in the master’s plan or process. Prayers lifted for the circle of family, friends and loved ones who will miss those bright eyes and beaming smile. Love and light always.
