Sylvester Joseph Breit, 93, loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great great grandfather and friend, died Sunday, November 9, 2025. He was a retired avionic engineer and sales representative with Boeing, Learjet, and Edo-Aire, and then a contract/independent consultant for various companies. Sylvester spoke German in his home until going to public schools in Sitka, Kansas. He enjoyed music and was a collector of big band music and enjoyed tinkering and repairing things.

Rosary will be at 10:00 am, Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 am, Friday, November 14, 2025, both at St, Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 645 North 119th Street West, Wichita, Kansas 67235.

Sylvester is preceded in death by his parents, August Sylvester Breit and Catherine Margaret Breit; wife, Mary Jane Breit; and sister, Lola Hopkins. He is survived by his sons, Greg (Denise) Breit of Wichita, Patrick (Gina) Breit of Lewisville, Texas; daughters, Stephanie (Marvin) Heinz of Augusta, Kansas, Debbie (Mark) Kieffer of Wichita, DeAnn (Jim) Mull of Maize, Kansas; four step-children; fourteen grandchildren; numerous great and great great grandchildren.

A memorial has been established with: memorial: Good Shepherd Hospice, 7829 East Rockhill Street, Suite 403, Wichita, Kansas 67206.
