Sylvia A. Thrush, 76, died Tuesday, March 1, 2016. Visitation with the Family will be from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M., Thursday, March 3, 2016, at Downing & Lahey Mortuary East. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday, March 4, 2016, at Derby Church of the Nazarene, 840 N. Woodlawn Blvd., Derby, KS. Preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Marian and Mary Ann Byington; brother, Sam Byington. Survived by her husband, Earl Thrush of Haysville; children, Roy Thrush (Ruthann) of Wichita, KS, Penny J. Metcalf (Mike) of Valley Center, Dottie J. Smith of Newton, David F. Thrush (Sheila) of Peck, Jeff S. Thrush of Augusta; brothers, Ted Byington, Bobby Byington, Don Byington, all of Missouri; sister, Virginia; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren. A memorial has been established with Mulvane First Church of the Nazarene, 110 W. Collier Ave., Mulvane, KS 67110.
