Teena Marie (Hubbard) Jenkins

May 15, 1961 ~ June 2, 2024
Teena Marie (Hubbard) Jenkins, 63, of Wichita, KS, was taken home by her Lord and Savior on June 2, 2024. She was born May 15, 1961, in Little Rock, AR, to Lois and Bill Hubbard.
Through a series of moves for her father's work Teena and family settled in Conroe, TX where she completed third grade through high school. Teena attended Baylor University and Texas Woman's University, completing her Physical Therapy degree at Texas Woman's University in Denton TX. While attending TWU, Teena met her future husband, Vincent Jenkins. Teena and Vincent were married on March 13, 1982, in Denton, TX and enjoyed 42 years of marriage and memorizing and studying the Bible together. Vincent is so grateful for God's gift of Teena to him.
After three years in the workforce, Teena knew God was calling her to be home with her children. By that time Teena had been blessed with one son, and within a few years she was blessed with a little girl. Her children were her delight along with any opportunity to teach God's word and to serve Him in her local church body. In 1996 Teena and Vincent increased their family by adopting a sibling group of three children through foreign adoption. Teena was already home schooling her first born son and now added three to the classroom while nurturing and caring for her special needs daughter. Teena loved the outdoors which would involve working in the garden, flower beds, feeding a bottle calf, or any other farm project which the family had the privilege of owning during the core time of the children growing up. Feeling God's calling to adopt again, the final boy was added to the family and home school ranks in 2003.
Not only was Teena passionate about her children but even more so about learning and sharing with others about Jesus her Savior. Teena loved digging in God's word and having the opportunity to share those learnings with children, teenagers, or young moms. She loved babies and the opportunity to hold a little one for a few minutes and give a mom a break was a delight!
Teena was preceded in death by her grandparents, Clarence Taylor and Grace Taylor and Rayborn and Laverne Hubbard. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Lois Hubbard.
Teena is survived by her husband, Vincent Jenkins of the home; three daughters, Caitlin Jenkins of the home, Hannah Fontaine and husband Nathan of Denton, TX, Abigail Bell and husband Rory of St. Louis, MO; three sons, Crockett Jenkins and wife Kara of Tyler, TX, Caleb Jenkins of Los Angeles, CA, Elijah Jenkins and wife Sarah of Kailua, HI; brother, Jeffrey Hubbard and wife Victoria; nieces Elena Hubbard of South Jordan, UT, Kristin Woods of Plano, TX; nephew, Christian Hubbard of Lewisville, TX; "Sis" sister-in-law, Lana Woods of Denton, TX; and eight grandchildren, Micah, Judah and Avalynn Fontaine of Denton TX; Tessa, Josiah, Haddon and Avery Jenkins of Tyler, TX; Conrad Jenkins of Kailua, Hi - all of which she loved with all her might!

Words can not express what Teena meant to the Wichita Primary Care family. Teena always had a positive outlook even when it seemed all of the cards were constantly stacked against her. Her smile and her hugs and her believe in the lord made her a true standout. Teena always asked my staff as well as myself how we were doing…..this is something we never see in healthcare. She nurtured everyone around her and she enriched our lives. She prayed for us as we prayed for her….
God got the most amazing angel with the biggest kindest heart.
To say she will be missed would be an understatement. We truly loved her.
You will be deeply missed.
